Content Creation

Page Authors for SharePoint

Build trust in your content by showing who owns a page, who contributed, and when it was last reviewed.

Page Authors shows the accountable owner, the contributors, and the review dates for a page, using profiles from your directory.

  • Platform: SharePoint Online
  • Licensing: Per tenant, annual
  • Accessibility: WCAG 2.2 AA

At a glance

Page Authors reads live profiles from your directory, so a sample card would show invented people.

Page Authors shows who owns a page, who contributed to it, and when it was last reviewed, so readers can judge whether the content in front of them is still trustworthy.

  • Name, title, department, and photo from your directory
  • Review dates so readers can judge currency
  • You choose which profile fields appear

In your tenant the card is populated from Microsoft Graph, with the fields you choose to display.

Accessibility conformance

Page Authors is developed and tested against WCAG 2.2 AA and is suitable for inclusion in an accessibility conformance report.

  • Author cards use list semantics so screen readers announce how many people are listed.
  • Profile photos are decorative, with the person's name always available as text.
  • Contact actions are native links and buttons with unambiguous accessible names.
  • Dates are written in full rather than relying on relative phrasing alone.
  • Cards reflow to a single column at 400 percent zoom without loss of content.
  • Focus order follows the visual order of each card and its actions.
